The aims of the Academy are to foster the interest of children in Chinese culture, and to strengthen the knowledge of Chinese music in young people and adults. Through a flexible approach to learning Chinese music, children are able to establish an amiable, honest and sincere character in a gradual, subtle and imperceptible manner, and will also be given a good foundation for EQ development.

Examinations and Competitions:
MAZ sponsors students to sit music examinations organized by the Central Conservatory of Music (Beijing) and school competitions.
Every year, MAZ organizes different concerts in community/concert halls and centres for the elderly. This will provide live performing experiences for students.
The Principal is currently a free-lance musician of the HK Chinese Orchestra and the Macau Chinese Orchestra, a Zheng instructor of the HK University of Science and Technology, the Chinese University of HK, the HK Polytechnic University, the Music Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions, and various primary and secondary schools.
All instructors in the Academy have attained formal and systematic education and training in music/musical instruments and possess extensive teaching experiences in their own music domain. They are graduates of either the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts or the Baptist University.
MAZ offers at least 10% discount on musical instruments purchased through us. MAZ also charges very reasonable prices for rental of practice rooms.
